The burg song is truly a record for the ages. Oscillating between harsh noise, dulcet soul music and filthy dubstep this album has a little something for everybody. It contains the hotly debated musical epic Jelly of a Lifetime (part 1 through 8), a piece that has critics at each others' throats.

the popular music blogging website "p4k" (Known for being huge Kanye West supporters) refused to touch the album, most likely because they are fucking plebs.

Now that the dust has settled I think we can all agree that The burg song is the black sheep of Best mu Newsic releases. Not because it is bad, but simply because it is an extremely long, varied and challenging release.

Best /mu/ Newsic has done it again. This time, they're calling themselves Thom Yorke Wails the Progressive Post-Technical Hardcore Psychedelic Noisegaze Classics. This title doesn't lie- The Burg Song is quite noisy and has elements of prog/hardcore music throughout, evident from the first track, "The joy of eating shit from your foot". It features some guy complaining and a funky beat. Next is "bury the hammer", a brief but unforgettable instrumental. "Toilet Captain Song" is a song about a toilet captain. It involves thighs, and it's pretty metal. "In Control of the Soul" has chill beats and feel-soaked lyrics. "ring ring" is a harbinger to noisier tracks further on. "Jelly Of A Lifetime" is an eight-movement work inspired by the works of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. It also includes a sick drum solo. "Breadcrumb Trail" is very loud. Once you turn your speakers down, however, you will find it quite enjoyable. "Hey, you got it" is a rare acoustic track from BmN- short but sweet. "Sometimes I sit on the shower floor and pretend I'm a girl." does not relate much to its title, but has a very cool bass line. "OP post your dick bro" features such hits as Cotton-Eye Joe, Communist Daughter, and Peacebone. Next is the noisy instrumental "Furry Transformation Fetish Track", which experiments with some interesting sounds. "Bane?" features the Bane character from Batman saying "for you" multiple times. "Slint is gay" is like dubstep, but slow... slowstep? Does that exist? "Fuck you" has a guy meet another guy in the park, then the one guy plays a horn solo. "Nice dubs" will obviously become the dub-checking anthem of the world's imageboards, if there's any fairness in this world. "the ebin mem" is a drum solo not as sick as the one in track 6, but still quite sick. "Suck my Nuts" has more lovely acoustic guitar. Ending the record are "talulah gosh" which creates a party atmosphere and "Bonbus Tack", a man eating chips. BmN have proved themselves to be quite the experimentalists.
This album is dedicated to all the teachers that told me I'd never amount to nothing, to all the people that lived above the buildings that I was hustling in front of. That called the police on me when I was just trying to make some money to feed my daughter And all the niggas in the struggle
